John has an Honours Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2001. After graduating, he worked for a large accounting firm for seven years as an Assurance & Advisory Manager. He is a CPA, CA, and also a Licensed Public Accountant. John joined Ward & Uptigrove in 2008, was appointed Principal on January 1, 2011 and Partner on January 1, 2015.

John provides a broad range of business advisory services to his existing and growing veterinary professional clients. This includes annual compliance matters such as financial statements and tax returns, as well as tax planning arrangements, buys and sells and other financing matters.
