What the role entails:

  • Managing and coordinating the daily operations of the Service Department, including scheduling maintenance and repair of equipment, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
  • Hiring, training and supervising a team of Agricultural Service Technicians. 
  • Preparing quotes and organizing work orders by time and priority to ensure efficiency.
  • Scheduling and overseeing all warranty policies to ensure maximum warranty cost recovery.
  • Revising and implementing new procedures to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing and maintaining effective and positive relationships with customers.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and participating in safety programs.
  • Ensuring effective communication across departments; 
  • Assisting Agricultural Service Technicians in the shop as required.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What it takes to do the role:

  • Minimum two years’ experience working in an agriculture dealership environment, similar agricultural role, and/or equivalent trade certification or post-secondary education in mechanical field or business administration. 
  • Previous management experience including mentoring and training staff. 
  • Previous experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
  • Previous exposure to dealer specific management software and knowledge of parts distribution and management, considered an asset.

The company’s core values consist of offering a stress-free finance department, large selection of equipment, and wide range of equipment and repair services. 


Midwestern Equipment is currently seeking a full-time Service Manager to contribute to the company’s core values and the overall customer experience. Reporting to the President at the Listowel office location, the position will be primarily responsible for day-to-day operations of the Service Department to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of equipment.
