Dave graduated from Conestoga College with a diploma in Business Administration, Accounting (professional studies) in 1991. He joined Ward & Uptigrove in the fall of 1991 and obtained his CGA designation in the spring of 1997 leading to his appointment as Partner.  Dave retired from the Partnership at the end of 2021, transitioning to a Counsel role and focusing on Transactional Services.

Dave developed the Veterinary Advisory Group at Ward & Uptigrove, which provides Accounting, Business Advisory, HR and WM services tailored to Veterinarians and their practice. He also initiated Transactional Services, supporting clients with their buys and sells.

Dave, originally from Kitchener-Waterloo, resides in the Walkerton area. He enjoys playing golf and outdoor activities.
