Tom graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University then earned his CA designation in 1983 while working with a national accounting firm. Tom completed the CICA in-depth tax courses and has continued to specialize in income tax since that time. 

Tom joined Ward & Uptigrove in 1990 as it’s tax partner. He later served as the managing partner of the firm, retiring from this role in 2010 and continuing to work on a part-time basis to provide tax and financial advice to various owner-managed businesses. 

He is presently the treasurer of the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance as well as a director of Independent Accountants Financial Group. In his free time Tom enjoys his grandchildren, golf, curling and playing the piano.
