John graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Commerce and began his career at Ward & Uptigrove where he earned his CPA, CA designation in 2013.  John gained additional experience at a national accounting firm, before rejoining Ward & Uptigrove in 2020 as a Principal. John moved into his role as Partner in 2023.

In the Business Advisory Group, John serves small to mid sized owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations.  He provides advice on corporate and personal tax planning, corporate structure assistance and succession planning as well as annual compliance work.

Having grown up in a small town, he left Kitchener/Waterloo and relocated to Listowel to enjoy the benefits of living in our small community. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
