Ryan, a native of Wingham, earned a degree in Honours Business Administration, with a Co-operative Option, from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1997. Ryan then worked in Kitchener gaining significant experience in auditing, particularly in the manufacturing and technology sectors. 

Ryan joined Ward & Uptigrove in the spring of 2000 and obtained his CA designation later that same year. As part of the Business Advisory Services group, Ryan was appointed Principal on January 1, 2003 and then Partner on January 1, 2010. He is heavily involved with financial statement preparation, financial and tax planning for a broad range of clients covering many industry sectors. Ryan currently has clients in the veterinary, professional, insurance, manufacturing, retail and service businesses. 

Ryan and his wife, Danielle, live in Listowel. They enjoy traveling and attending live hockey and baseball games as well as concerts. They also enjoy biking, golf and outdoor activities in the summer months, and love to ski in the winter.
