We are currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician (309A) in their 4th or 5th year for installation of electrical systems on custom grain system construction projects. This position is ideal for an individual who is driven to grow their career and is pursuing leadership opportunities. It is a full-time position based out of our Elmira manufacturing facility with regular travel to our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Based out of Elmira, you will work both in the panel shop and across construction sites in southern Ontario, some overnight stays required
  • Under the guidance and supervision of a licensed electrician:
  • Read blueprints and install all electrical and electronic devices as per specifications
  • Diagnose faults in electrical and electronic components, as required
  • Assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor raceways (PVC, Rigid and Tech)
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly
  • Contribute to the team with a positive attitude and continue to develop a great working culture, with an emphasis on health and safety

What you bring

  • Registered 309A Electrician Apprentice in 4th or 5th year 
  • Ability to work comfortably and confidently at heights
  • Experience assembling grain bins or similar experience, considered an asset
  • A willingness to contribute to a team and work hard
  • Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking skills
  • Valid driver’s licence with satisfactory driver’s abstract
